Back to School

My school* begins right after Labor Day, and I can’t wait, just like the “good old days”. In my school, nobody takes tests or does homework unless you want to, but we sure learn a lot and we have lots of fun! In my school, I can be a student in one or more courses and The Teacher in another.

This fall I’ll be teaching a course called PLANT-BASED EATING FOR PERSONAL AND COMMUNITY HEALTH. About 20 of us will be exploring the extraordinary personal and community benefits of whole food plant-based eating through film, discussion, cooking demos, tastings, potlucks and community outreach. Hopefully we will discover how our personal food choices have a far reaching impact on human health, animal health and environmental health. We expect to challenge the fad diets and dietary misinformation that do so much harm to our world and ourselves.

We’ll keep readers posted about our learnings, our progress and even our missteps in this Blog space over the next 10 weeks. Join us for fun and for good health for all!
