Thank you to all who worked to make a successful day in memory of Amanda Haxton at the H4H indoor tourney raising funds for the H4H scholarships and for the Easter Seals Rehab Center in Georgetown, DE on Saturday and Sunday, December 21-22, 2019. Thank you to all the teams (12) and individuals (approximately 120) that expended their energy playing the game- from upstate to downstate and beyond. A special thank you to our volunteer umpires who gave their time to make sure the games were played safely: Peyton Moore, Lori Sapp, Hailey Moore, Sommer Dorman, Madi Irwin, Emma Moore, and Ike Eisenhour. And thanks to the volunteers who manned registration and the raffle booth and the chairperson of the event, Stephanie Brown. Apologies to any I have missed in the above list.

Special thanks to our sponsors: Ronny's Garden World in Smyrna, Arenas Café in Lewes, Dorman Custom Apparel in Milton, Russ Palmer Builders in Lewes, County Bank in Rehoboth Beach, the Jason Anderson Foundation in Lewes, and Johnson Orthodontics in Rehoboth Beach. All of the sponsors can be found on the Delaware Shore website with active links to their individual home pages.  Thank you to Surf Bagel, Kids Ketch, Lewes Dairy Queen, Thrasher’s French Fries, Village Salon and Spa, Vernon Powell Shoes, Midway Speed Park, Eric Gooch Photography , and SoDel Concepts for their donations to our raffles.
Special recognition goes to Stephanie Brown, chairperson of H4H, who did a great job of planning for this 14th annual event. And to Dan Cook, for his press coverage and photographs and to Eric Grooch for his candid photos.

Finally, thanks to the set up/clean-up crews spearheaded by the many of the Delaware Shore families (Browns, Klopps, Kanes, Wilsons), who spent their pre-dinner time, setting up the gym. And to the custodial crew at Mariner Middle School for all their help and assistance (Dan Kimmel). My apologies if I missed anyone on this crew!
You all are so special and have the Haxton spirit.

Congratulations to the Class of 2020 H4H scholarship winner: Marlee Geppert of Cape Henlopen High School. Marlee will be attending Queens University and will be part of their field hockey program.

And congratulations to Abby Kane for being awarded the initial ‘Above, Beyond 4 Club and Community’ Scholarship. Abby will be attending Belmont Abbey College and will also be part of their field hockey program.

Sincerely,

Ike Eisenhour
