Pasta Heaven

Everywhere we go we're always on the lookout for restaurants that serve Plant-Based options for people like us who enjoy delicious, creative, satisfying meals with no meat, dairy or added oil. I figure if I can do it at home, New York’s finest chefs can do it for us! We were not disappointed on our recent NYC trip with the Osher Institute of Lifelong Learning of the University of Delaware. In fact, we were delighted to find Vegan (no animal products) and Vegetarian options everywhere.

One meal that stands out was lunch at RANA PASTIFICIO & CUCINA in The Chelsea Market near the southern end of the High Line Parkway we’d just walked and the new Whitney Museum where we were headed. An amazing display of fresh-made pasta caught our attention. The rustic setting with hanging copper pots, menu with vegan options and welcoming staff invited us to a cozy table for 2. Time stood still as we savored KALE & QUINOA GIRASOLE, PISTACHIO SAUCE with MIXED GREEN INSALATE. Next time we'll stop by for CURRY PAPPARDELLE, SPINACH FUSILLONI and CHOCOLATE TAGLIATELLE!
