Plant-Based Dining at the Gate House

Looking for fine local plant-based oil free dining?  Look to the Gate House of Lewes on Market St. between 2nd and Front Streets.  By prior arrangement our group of 10 enjoyed the flavorful, creative cooking of the Gates family chefs—Gretchen, Taylor and Wilson--last evening.  We were treated to generous portions of delicately flavored fresh local produce and hearty pastas topped off with a Raspberry Truffle Brownie for dessert. The highlights of the meal were the creamy fresh corn and potato chowder with a Cajun kick and the garlic lemon kale salad.  We hope that these house specialties will appear on future plant-based menus to be offered on designated days in the coming weeks.  Watch this blog for the announcement of plant-based oil free menu options at the Gate House of Lewes.
