"Red sky at morning, sailors' take warning; red sky at night, sailors' delight" is a phrase adopted from an ancient rhyme used by sheperds, which of course used shepards' in the verse rather than sailors' according to Wikipedia. Red sky at day break this morning over the Mid-Atlantic may be a harbinger of the rain forecast for tomorrow so take warning. This was the view of that warning sky from my house.
