Week two of the Delaware Shore field hockey league began with the Tides defeating the Waves, in the elementary division, by a final of 2-0. Olivia Balback had both goals in the second quarter less than a minute apart. In the other Monday night game, the Dunes and Guards played to a 0-0 result. On Wednesday night the Waves and Dunes battled to a 0-0 end result while Balback continued her week with another pair of goals for the Tides. The Tides defeated the Guards by a final of 2-0.

In the senior division played opened on Monday with a well-played match between the Bengals and the Seahawks. Kaylee Hall got the game winner early in the second quarter while Jessica Rybicki added an insurance goal midway through the third quarter. The Baffins defeated the Artics behind goals by Peyton Moore, Addison Wood and Abby Kane for the 3-0 shutout. In the third game of the night the Corals blew past the Pumas by a final of 6-0. Avery Congleton had the hat trick, all in the opening half. Audrey Hershelman, Brynn McCabe and Olivia Sananikone each had a goal in the second half for the Corals. In the opening game on Wednesday, the Corals blasted off to a 3-0 lead in the opening quarter with goals from Sananikone and Congleton (2). The Artics answered with a pair of goals by Olivia Stafford to make the halftime score 3-2. Katelyn Strafford scored at 6:24 of the third quarter to even the game and then scored again in the fourth quarter with 5:25 remaining to give the Artics the lead. Congleton got her third goal of the game with 1:09 left to make the final 4-4. In the second game of Wednesday evening the Seahawks got a pair of second quarter goals from LeeLee Wilson to put the very shorthanded Seahawks up by a score of 2-0. Lily Ashby scored at 4:59 in the fourth quarter to pull the Pumas within one but the game ended without more scoring from either team. In the nightcap, Kaleigh Cordrey got the game winner for the Bengals with her goal at 5:17 in the first quarter. Ella Peterson scored the insurance tally at 1:19 in the third to make the final 2-0 over the Baffins.

Games resume on Monday, June 29th at 5:10 with the elementary division games followed by the senior division games.
