Indoor League Report Week Four

 

The opening game of the elementary division ended 0-0 between Queens and WChester with neither team able to penetrate the other team’s defense for a score. In the second game Olivia Hersheman got an early goal at 19:30 to pave the way for a 1-0 win by SRock over Newberry. BelmontA was able to defeat Coker with a four-goal outburst early in the game by Olivia Balback.

In the first game of the senior division Carrie Clausius (3) and Audrey Hershelman pushed Salisbury into a 4-1 lead before halftime. Peyton Moore had the goal for F & M. Thien Thanh Berands scored midway through the second half to draw F & M closer but Shea Danahy scored to put the game out of reach by a final of 5-2. In the last game of the afternoon Norah Block gave Wesley an early lead at 18:10 but Addison Breneman and Ellen Ramsey scored minutes later to put WashColl ahead by 2-1 at the half. Chloe Wood pulled Wesley into a tie with her goal at 8:00 and Block got the game winner at 2:10 for Wesley.

In other news the Delaware Shore U16 Breakers team earned a pool championship at Spooky Nook on Saturday with a 3-0-1 record while the U19 Bayside team just missed the championship, also with a 3-0-1 record.
