Delaware Hospice holds Beef & Brew fundraiser

March 24, 2016

Delaware Hospice held its 8th Annual Beef & Brew Fundraiser March 11 at the CHEER Center in Georgetown. This very popular, sold out event featured a large silent auction, beef, and brew. This annual event raised more than $21,000 for Delaware Hospice.

Guests enjoyed listening and dancing to the live music of the ultimate party band, The Funsters. Catering for the evening was by Lighthouse Catering; beer was sponsored by Banks Wines & Spirits and the Starboard Restaurant & Bar, and the beer tasting was brought to guests by 16 Mile Brewing Company. Guests were also able to bid on some great prizes in the raffle and silent auction.

Delaware Hospice thanked the 300 guests, including Councilman Rob Arlett and Rep.Ruth Briggs King for dancing the night away. Longtime attendee Pat Siebert of Lewes said, “I would not miss Delaware Hospice’s Beef & Brew. If there was only one event to attend each year, this would be it for me!”

Sponsors for the event include Table Sponsors: Amedisy's Home Health, Delaware Federal Credit Union, Griswold Home Care, Hazzard Auto Parts, Home Instead Senior Care, Kiwanis Club of Bridgeville, Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant, Nanticoke Health Services, Sergovic, Carmean, & Weidman P.A, Food and Dessert Sponsors: Bayhealth, Creative Concepts of Bethany, Inc., Georgetown Family Medicine, John Ward, Scott & Shuman, P.A., and Media Sponsor: Cape Gazette.

Proceeds from the Beef and Brew will benefit Sussex County programs and services of Delaware Hospice, the only nonprofit hospice in Delaware.
