Patricia 'Patsy' Davis Fort, loved writing poems

Patricia Jane Davis Fort "Patsy" passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016, in Milford Hospice Center.

She was born May 25, 1930, in Willards, Md. to Phineas and Lillian Davis. After graduating from Buckingham High School in Berlin, Md. she attended Goldey Beacon College in Wilmington.

Patsy loved the many years she lived in Florida and also writing poems - especially about family members. She also owned the Hitching Post for many years, and enjoyed those days talking about horses and horse racing to her customers.

She was predeceased by her parents; sister Agnes "Sis" Disharoon; and B.I.Shaw, her love of 50 years.

She is survived by two children, Jane Moore and husband Bill Moore of Lewes, and B. I. Shaw III and wife Sue of Willards, Md.; and sister Ellin Marsh of Rehoboth Beach; also three grandchildren, Chuck White, Keith White and Michael Adkins; and seven great-grandchildren, Kaya White, Tharin White, McKenna White, Marlee White, Charli White, Molly White and Melody White; and a niece and four nephews.

Services were private.

Any memorial contributions may be made in Patsy's name to Milford Hospice.
