Blackwall Hitch joins Rehoboth culinary community

Ribbon-cutting set June 8 to officially launch new dining destination

Rehoboth Beach Restaurant Week marks the official welcome of a new restaurant to the culinary destination of Delaware.

Wednesday, June 8, at 10 a.m., during Restaurant Week, the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce will join the staff and management of Blackwall Hitch for a ribbon-cutting and tasting event at the new restaurant on 52 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Blackwall Hitch will open for the dining public Monday, May 31, at 11 a.m. Live music performances begin Wednesday, June 1.

“We are very excited to join the Rehoboth Beach business community,” said James King, CEO of Blackwall’s parent company Mid-States Management. “This region has a vibrant dining scene year around. We look forward to being a part of it.”

The Blackwall Hitch in Rehoboth Beach is the third location for the Maryland-owned restaurant partnership. Blackwall Hitch opened in Annapolis, Md., in 2014 and in Alexandria, Va., in 2015. As a modern interpretation of a classic shore tavern boasting award-winning cuisine and bar service along with live, free music five days a week, Blackwall Hitch quickly gained foothold as a favorite in the community.
