Tunnell Cancer Center celebrates 10th Anniversary

Beebe Healthcare President and CEO Jeffrey Fried welcomed staff, patients and guests to the 10th Anniversary celebration. Fried spoke about the expansion of Tunnell Cancer Center over the years to meet the needs of the Sussex County community.
Rick Schaffner, executive vice president and COO at Beebe Healthcare, chats with with Cherrie Rich, executive director of oncology services at Beebe Healthcare. Rich said “We are very excited that we have expanded our team to meet the demands of our growth and continued quality of cancer care that we provide our community.”

Robert Tunnell III spoke about the reasons why he wants to continue in his grandfather’s footsteps. Tunnell said, “Our family is committed to grow and support community health and the services that Beebe provides.”
The Tunnell Cancer Center celebrated its 10th Anniversary and 26 years of providing cancer care Oct. 7 at the Beebe Health Campus in Rehoboth Beach. The event gave patients, former and current, a chance to visit with their healthcare providers. Three recently hired medical oncologists were also on hand to meet the community.
