Chris Megee, chief financial officer

Chris Megee, 62, of Selbyville, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at her home following an extended illness. Born in Salisbury, Md., she was the daughter of the late Hilby and Betty (Tingle) Landing of Onancock, Va.

She was a graduate of J.M. Bennett High School, Salisbury, Md., and veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, (medical unit – Delaware). Chris worked as the chief financial officer of Custom Mechanical for almost 30 years, passionately committed to the Custom family and business growth during her tenure.

Chris lived a robust life, loved NASCAR, was an avid Ravens fan, and traveled both locally and abroad. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Roxana, and a past member of VFW Post 7234 in Ocean View.

She is survived by a sister, Rebecca Darby and her husband John; two nephews, Richard L. Jackson with son Jakob and daughter Sadie; and Tony S. Jackson, wife Kari and son Ayden.

Private services are planned with a Celebration of Life gathering slated for May in Chincoteague, Va.
