New Year’s Skimboarder drops in Dewey Beach
Crowds celebrate as the Skimboarder drops at the stroke of midnight.

Dewey Beach rang in 2107 with its traditional Skimboarder Drop on New Orleans Street. Sponsored by the Dewey Business Partnership, a large crowd gathered to watch the drop and count down 2016. The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company assisted the drop with its Snorkel 86 fire truck.
