Margaret V. Lingo, retired secretary

Margaret Voshell Lingo, 97, passed away Friday, June 10, 2011, in her Dover home surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born May 23, 1914, in Dover, daughter of the late Bertha and Hiram R. Voshell.

She had worked for Libby, McNiel, Libby in Wyoming for more than 11 years.  She stopped working full time to have a family.  Margaret returned to work for the Caesar Rodney School District, retiring in 1979 as an administrative secretary.

Margaret enjoyed knitting and Search-A-Word puzzles.  She was a member of the Delaware Retired School Personnel Association, Frazier’s Homemakers Club, and the Rising Sun Community Club.  She also was a member of the Whatcoat United Methodist Church, Camden since 1930.

Besides her parents. she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Holland Kline Lingo; and her brother George Voshell.

Margaret is survived by three daughters, Dr. Cynthia Angermeier and husband Dr. Adolf Angermeier, Dover, Lucy Sturmfelz, Rehoboth, and Vivian Postlethwait and husband Dr. Thomas Postlethwait, Dover; a granddaughter, Mandy Sturmfelz, Arlington, Va.; three grandsons, Mark Sturmfelz, Tybee Island, Ga., Niel Postlethwait and wife Kristin Postlethwait, Sugar Land, Texas and Samuel Postlethwait and wife Kimberlee Postlethwait, Wilmington; and one great-grandson, Caleb Postlethwait, Sugar Land.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
