Cape’s Parker Savage, a senior outfielder who throws right and bats left, has signed to play baseball for the Division II Millersville Marauders of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
“I was invited to their camp last summer, and my 60 time of 6.8 got their attention, plus I hit pretty well,” he said. “They are one of the leading D2 baseball teams in the country.”
Millersville, located in the 717 area code just outside Lancaster, finished 53-7 in 2016, going all the way to the National Championship, where they lost a three-game championship series to Nova Southeastern 2-1 and 8-6.
Parker’s younger brother Zach is a catcher on the Cape baseball team. His dad Billy was a shortstop on the 1981 Georgetown Senior League World Series championship team coached by Costen Shockley.
