Greene Turtle launches Shell Raiser IPA June 15
The Greene Turtle Sports Bar and Grille announces the launch of its newest Shell Raiser option, the Shell Raiser IPA, in partnership with DuClaw Brewing Co. The new IPA is a Northeastern-style brew that is juicy, vibrant and has hints of nectar, clocking in at 7.2 percent ABV. Both the Shell Raiser Pale Ale and Shell Raiser IPA are only available and poured at The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille, and offer guests an easy-drinking, seasonal and popular beer choice that pairs well with the restaurant's wide selection of appetizers, burgers, handhelds, house specialties and salads.
"We are tremendously excited at the opportunity to continue our partnership with The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille," said David Benfield, founder of DuClaw Brewing Co., a Baltimore-based craft brewery founded in 1996. "Their restaurants are an institution in the state of Maryland, and helping them launch their own lineup of delicious craft beers is an exciting prospect for us." DuClaw has released more than 65 unique beers along with countless variations and blends.
In celebration of The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille 41st birthday Sunday, June 18, the Shell Raiser IPA is scheduled to be launched at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 15. For every pint sold through June 18, 25 cents will be donated to the Sea Turtle Conservancy.
"We are thrilled to expand upon our relationship with DuClaw Brewing Co. and bring fans of The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille another delicious Shell Raiser," said Layla Nielsen, Greene Turtle senior director of marketing. "The Shell Raiser IPA taps into our Maryland heritage and provides guests with a delicious drinking experience and the opportunity to give back during our birthday weekend."
For the June 15 launch, the first 40 guests in participating locations to purchase the Shell Raiser IPA will receive a special promotional T-shirt. The restaurants also will be handing out temporary tattoos. For more information, go to www.thegreeneturtle.com.
