Remember when you met your spouse or mate for the first time and realized this is the one?
Well, that's the feeling I had when I first met Susan Gay, only this time I knew she would be a force for making Rehoboth Beach even better than it already is. She and her husband have only had their place in Country Club Estates for a few years but in that time she immediately became involved in the issues we have fought so hard for in the past few years in preserving what is best about Rehoboth.
She is making sure the sense of place that we all love and that attracts visitors to return year after year remains, and that our neighborhoods, our trees, the beach, the lakes, and our businesses thrive because of that concern. She is or has been active with the Rehoboth Beach Homeowners Association, SOLA3, The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society, Rehoboth Neighbors United, and is co–chair of the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Trees, and she continues to immerse herself in the challenging issues that not only confront the city but the region in general.
We know she will be an outstanding commissioner for all of us; we knew it right away.
That's why I ask you to join me and vote for Susan Gay Aug. 12 at the Fire Hall.
