Delaware's ocean use is growing rapidly with massive new ships, soaring demand for offshore sand mining, and proposed wind energy development offshore. The busy waters are also home to endangered whales and sea turtles, and they support thriving fishing and recreation industries. It's more important than ever to plan ahead for responsible ocean growth.

Dewey Beach Commissioner Mike Dunmyer will give a short welcome before the film. For the post-film conversation, expert panelists are Kari St. Laurent, research coordinator, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Delaware Coastal Programs; Capt. Stephen Roberts, pilot, Pilots Association for the Bay and River Delaware; Sarah W. Cooksey, director of conservation programs, Nature Conservancy in Delaware; Rich King, owner, Delaware Surf Fishing; and professor James Corbett, associate director of Marine Policy, College of Earth, Ocean and Environment, University of Delaware.

This event is hosted by the Rehoboth Beach Film Society; Delaware Sea Grant; University of Delaware's College of Earth, Ocean and Environment; The Nature Conservancy in Delaware; Delaware Coastal Programs; Surfrider Foundation - Delaware Chapter; Rehoboth Beach Sailing Association; Delaware Center for the Inland Bays; Delaware Nature Society; Partnership for the Delaware Estuary; North American Marine Environment Protection Association; American Littoral Society; City of Lewes; Town of Dewey Beach; and Green Fire Productions.
