"Some Lighthouse Keeping Necessary" Lunch 'n' Learn is set for Friday, Nov. 10, in Lewes.

Bill Hicks, Lewes Historical Society volunteer and living history character, in the role of Gilbert McCracken, historic Delaware Bay & River pilot, will discuss the history of the Cape Henlopen Lighthouse. This venerable light built in 1765 served Lewes Harbor for more than 150 years before it fell into the waves in 1926. Learn about some of the keepers who kept the light lit. Using letters, reports, and pictures, Hicks hopes to shine a light on an important piece of Lewes' past, present, and future.

The program begins at noon at the Hotel Rodney Downstairs Conference Room. Bring a brown bag lunch and uncover the history of Lewes' lost landmark the Cape Henlopen Lighthouse. For more information call 302-645-7670.
