Letter: Vote for Bucchioni for the change we need

November 2, 2018

A change is needed in state Representative District 20. We need to elect someone who will represent us. The following are a few legislative bills that Rep. Steve Smyk voted against.  Let’s review.

•   Minimum wage increase to $9.25 an hour: nay

• Amend Title 19, Stop Right to Work, which is a union-busting tactic: Did not vote

• Increase minimum purchase age for firearms: nay

• Amend Title 16 relating to the treatment of drug overdoses (use of Narcan) - Only nay vote in the House and Senate

• Prohibit discrimination based on gender identity: nay

• Authorize same sex-marriage: nay

• Require background checks prior to the purchase of firearms: nay

So, a member of the LGBT community? He is not your friend. Want sensible gun legislation? Not from him. Struggle to make a living on $8.25 an hour? He thinks you can.

A vote for Jack Bucchioni is the change we need in 2018.
