Reminder: Bay bridge 10K may delay traffic Nov. 4

Weather permitting, the eastbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge will close temporarily to traffic Sunday, Nov. 4, starting at midnight to make room for Across the Bay 10K, the annual race when runners and walkers take over the eastbound span. Officials say the eastbound bridge is expected to reopen about 2 p.m. 

Two-way traffic operations will be in place on the westbound span. One lane of traffic will operate in each direction, with the center lane closed to traffic; the center lane may open intermittently to reduce westbound delays.
