Terryl Yvonne Lofland, American Bandstand original

Terryl Yvonne Lofland, 78, of Millsboro passed away peacefully at her home  Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020.   She was born in Shenandoah, Pa., Feb. 3, 1941, to the late William and Verna Ganderton Schreffler.  She married John Joseph Lofland June 4, 1993. She had worked in the past as a secretary for State Farm Insurance.  She was an original member of American Bandstand. She was also a member of New Life Bible Church in Millsboro.  Terryl was an outgoing, friendly person.  She enjoyed doing crafts.

Terryl is survived by her loving husband, John; and three children: Kimberly Ann Farmer (Dennis) of Ellendale, Brian Smith (Irene) of North East, Md., and Roby Hager (Diane) of Nottingham, Pa.; and one stepdaughter: Dawn Michelle Lofland, and her companion Tony Salinski of Lewes.  She has one godchild: Rachel. Also surviving are six grandchildren: David, Jason, Whitney, Justin, Mason and Steven; and two great-grandchildren: Kyleigh and Alexis.  She has one sister-in-law: Debbie Schreffler.  She had many, many friends, including Rosalie Bellafonte, Sharon Orth, and her American Bandstand friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a brother: William Schreffler.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of her Life is planned for 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, at  New Life Bible Church in Millsboro with Pastor Andy Barnes officiating.   Interment will be private.
