The Delaware Division of Public Health announced two COVID-19 fatalities June 17 with 83 hospitalizations and 13 critically ill.
The most recent deaths ranged in age from 36 to 72. One individual was a New Castle County woman and the other a Sussex County man. Both had underlying health conditions, and one was a resident of a long-term care facility.
In total, 426 Delawareans have passed away due to complications from COVID-19. Individuals who have died from COVID-19 ranged in age from 21 to 104 years old. Of those who have died, 227 were females and 199 were males. A total of 191 individuals were from New Castle County, 84 were from Kent County, and 151 were from Sussex County.
The latest Delaware COVID-19 case statistics cumulatively since March 11, provided as of 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, include:
- 10,444 total positive cases
- New Castle County cases: 4,422
- Kent County cases: 1,579
- Sussex County cases: 4,429
- Unknown county: 14
- Females: 5,776; Males: 4,650; Unknown: 18
- Age range: 0 to 104
- Currently hospitalized: 83; Critically ill:13 (This data represents individuals currently hospitalized in a Delaware hospital regardless of residence, and is not cumulative.)
- Delawareans recovered: 6,305
- 76,143 negative cases
