COVID-19 closes Rosenfeld’s until further notice
Citing the possible exposure of employees to COVID-19, Rosenfeld’s Jewish Deli outside Rehoboth Beach has announced it will be closed until further notice.
In a July 13 post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, owner Warren Rosenfeld said two staff members may have been exposed to others who are now exhibiting signs of COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, the restaurant closed July 13 and staff will get tested, he said.
“The staff no longer feels comfortable there until COVID testing of all staff members is completed, and results received,” said Rosenfeld, adding that hopefully the restaurant will open within seven to 10 days. “We regret this action, but it is in everyone’s best interest. Thank you for your understanding.”
The restaurant’s Rehoboth location, 18949 Coastal Highway, opened in Sandpiper Plaza in April 2017. The restaurant’s Ocean City location, 6301 Coastal Highway, remains open.
