Rehoboth Beach Main Street welcomes two board members

Rehoboth Beach Main Street announced two new board members.

Jerry Filbin is a full-time resident of the Rehoboth Beach area, having retired from the Washington, D.C. area. He holds a doctorate in environmental biology and worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for 23 years.

Main Street will benefit from his experience and skill in grants, policy development, strategic planning, contract management, and environmental and economic sustainability. He currently chairs the RBMS Organization Committee. His goals are to work with membership to advance Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s mission of supporting business through partnerships, and strengthen and unify the entire community to include retail and commercial business and residents, while maintaining its historic roots. Filbin brings experience from serving on other boards of community-based organizations. In addition, he continues to work part time as an HIV counselor for CAMP Rehoboth.

Bob Suppies is a business owner and full-time resident of Rehoboth Beach. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the board with 28 years of consistent high-volume sales, marketing, visual merchandising and team leadership experience. An enthusiastic community leader, he develops top talent through focusing on results. Suppies owns the Pines Rehoboth Beach and Aqua Bar & Grill. He also is on the board of directors of the Rehoboth Art League.

Suppies currently chairs the RBMS Design Committee. His vast experience in business leadership and development will help Rehoboth Beach Main Street grow and continue to fulfill its mission.
