Lewes church hosts Big Brothers & Sisters party

Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Sussex County were treated to a Christmas Party hosted by the Lewes Church of Christ at The Crossing north of Lewes Dec. 11.

Forty-eight little brothers and sisters attended the event and each received a large bag of gifts donated by church family sponsors. The program began with several Christmas carols, followed by the distribution of gifts. Then each big and little brother and sister had a photo taken with their church family sponsor.

After the photo session, the groups then went into the lobby of the church where Lewes Church of Christ minister the Rev. Mark Magee talked with the children about the true meaning of Christmas and then they went onto another station where associate minister the Rev. Ethan Magee gave a small gift to the big brothers and sisters along with words of encouragement for everyone. The opening of the gifts was then commenced after some words from the Rev. Mark Magee.
