Sussex P&Z acts on two applications
At its Aug. 13 meeting, Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission acted on two conditional-use applications in the Cape Region. The commission recommended approval of an application filed by Kenneth Dominic/Alton Drummond to operate Quality Care Homes at their residence, 20366 Hopkins Road, near Lewes. The plan includes buildings for storage, repairs and a manager’s office on a 3.5-acre parcel. The commission also recommended approval of an application filed by Anthony Crivella and Harold Dukes, on behalf of DaNizza Wood Fired Pizza of Georgetown, to operate a food truck at the location of Revelation Craft Brewing at Johnson Street and Central Avenue in Rehoboth Beach. Sussex County Council will have public hearings on the applications during its Tuesday, Aug. 25 meeting. Hearings get underway at 1:30 p.m.
Rehoboth commissioner meeting Aug. 21
The Rehoboth Beach Board of Commissioners has scheduled a virtual meeting for 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 21. The agenda calls for discussion and possible votes on the contract for Phase II of the Lake Avenue streetscape improvements, and on a proposed right-of-way property easement for access during the construction of an entrance to the new Beebe campus adjacent to Well 8 on Warrington Road. Rehoboth planners set workshop Aug. 21
The Rehoboth Beach Planning Commission has scheduled a virtual meeting for 9 a.m., Friday, Aug. 21. The agenda calls for discussion of topics identified in connection with the proposed development of the Belhaven Hotel.
