Sunshine Circle Club brightens morning for elementary school staff
Employees of Cape district elementary schools received a welcome delivery Feb. 16, when members of the Sunshine Circle Club brought coffee and cookies to thank all staff members for their work during the pandemic.
Under the new Morning Break Program, Sunshine Circle Club members collected cookies donated by McDonald’s of Rehoboth Beach and coffee paid for by the club, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Lewes, Friendship Baptist Church of Lewes, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Organization of Sussex County, the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice, and individual contributions from Dana Paskins, Richard and Janie Miller, and Clemon and Willamae Jordan.
On Feb. 23, club members brought the Morning Break Program to staff at Beacon and Mariner middle, Cape High, Sussex Consortium, district office and transportation department in the Frederick D. Thomas Building.
Club members hope the Morning Break Program will put a smile on all faces in the district and acknowledge their work during this difficult time.
