William George Lamson, Vermont native

William “Bill” Lamson, 89, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at his residence.

Mr. Lamson was born in Shelburn, Vt., July 28, 1922. He worked for Fairdale Farms for over 30 years in Pittsfield, Mass., and Bennington, Vt. Upon retiring, he worked in property management in Bennington and then resided in Burlington, Vt., and Mt. Dora, Fla., with his brother John. Bill moved to Rehoboth Beach in 2007 to be closer to family, and John followed shortly thereafter.

Bill was a devoted father, grandfather and brother, and was admired for his great sense of humor and gentle spirit.

Bill is survived by his two children, George William Lamson and Jennifer Lynne Lamson, both of Rehoboth Beach; Jennifer’s partner Joni Reich of Rehoboth Beach; three grandchildren: William “Cole,” Sydney and Peyton of Rehoboth Beach; and one brother, John Franklin Lamson of Rehoboth Beach.

A private memorial service was held Dec. 30, 2011, where family and close friends gathered to honor and remember Bill.

Arrangements were handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
