Michael James Teti Jr., retired home builder
Michael James Teti Jr., 88, of Georgetown passed away after a long illness Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born in Washington, D.C., Sept. 4, 1932, son of the late Michael and Emily DiCarlo Teti.
Mr. Teti had previously worked as a railroad carman, tile installer and later retired in 1991 from the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission in Hyattsville, Md. After his retirement he worked as a home builder from 1992 till 2002.
Michael was a loving family man and friend to all who knew him. As an avid poker player, he could be a formidable opponent when enjoying a game with his friends.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Ann Teti; children Mary Louise (Julio) Quesada, Michael Andrew Teti (Dawn), Robert William Conklin (Jennifer) and Candace Ann Sigai (Dennis); grandchildren, Michael Andrew Teti Jr., Melissa Teti, Emilee Quesada, Caitlyn Quesada; and great-child Asher Teti Zittle.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford St., Georgetown, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will follow the services at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, 25153 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown. Social distancing is still being observed, and masks are required during any aspect of the funeral services and burial.
