Amanda Lynn Bellistri and Michael Christopher Del Re to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Jerome G. Bellistri of Coatesville, Pa., and Ms. Brenda C. Bellistri of Lewes are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Lynn to Michael Christopher Del Re of Hampton Roads, Va.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School and a 2006 graduate of James Madison University with bachelor's and master's degrees in English. She received a commission through the Reserve Officers Training Corps into the United States Army in 2006 and has attained the rank of captain. She is currently stationed at Fort Polk, La., and is serving in the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.

The groom is the son of retired Lt. Col. James Del Re and Mrs. Jeannette Del Re, who currently reside in Charlotte, N.C. He is a 2007 graduate of Old Dominion University with a degree in industrial education. He is also a captain in the United States Army and is currently attending the Maneuver Captains Career Course in Fort Benning, Ga.

The couple met in 2009 when they were both stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky. They both recently returned from yearlong deployments in Afghanistan. They are planning a spring 2012 wedding at St. Edmond Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach. They are looking forward to being stationed together this summer at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas.
