Delaware State Police are investigating an Aug. 23 burglary at a residence in the Overbrook Shores community near Milton.

During the burglary, a female resident was physically assaulted by a male suspect before he fled the residence on foot in an unknown direction of travel.

As a reminder, residents are always encouraged to report any suspicious activity and lock their residences.
