David C. Angstadt, DelDOT retiree

October 29, 2021

David C. Angstadt, 64 of Dover went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at Kent General Hospital. David was born Sept. 15, 1957, in Dover.

Dave attended Caesar Rodney High School and studied engineering at Delaware Tech Community College.  After a long career with DelDOT, Dave worked as a consultant for G.P.I.

When not working, he could be found outdoors or helping others.  He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with projects, and spending time with family and friends.  He could fix or repair anything for anyone and enjoyed helping whenever needed without being asked.  A true “MacGyver” who will be truly missed.  Times spent at the beach or on the water were always special to Dave.  Dave and his wife were members of Calvary Assembly of God for over 20 years and involved in several ministries during that time. One ministry that was so close to Dave’s heart was the motorcycle ministry.  So many friends and memories were made and grew through this ministry.  Both Dave and Elaine were then called to a sister church, Barclay Assembly of God, where both were able to help the church grow.

Mr. Angstadt is preceded in death by his mother, Sadie H. Marker; his brothers, Thomas and Billy; a stepdad, Riley Marker; and birth father, Charles Angstadt.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Elaine; his children, T.C. Anglin (Michelle), Kristie Wyatt (Nicholas), David Anglin (Erin) and Heather Edwards (Will); grandchildren, Tesla, Rory, Zack, Dane, Gracie, Aubrey, Paisley, Owen and Raughley; a sister, Charlene; brother Frank; close cousin Rebecca Martin; Aunt Esther Krueger; father-in-law Mo “Pop” Faulkner (the late Helen); brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Terrie; extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m., at Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming, where friends may call beginning at 11 a.m.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Barclay Assembly of God, P.O. Box 224, Barclay, MD  21607.
