Temperatures are falling, which means it must be state tournament time for Delaware sports.

Volleyball kicked off postseason play Nov. 4, with the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association releasing state tournament brackets for field hockey and soccer Nov. 5.

In volleyball action, No. 21 Cape lost to 12th-seeded Caesar Rodney 25-17, 19-25, 25-8, 25-23 in the opening round Nov. 4. No. 11 Sussex Central moved into the next round with a 25-15, 25-23, 25-19 win over 22nd-ranked Lake Forest. The Golden Knights will play at No. 6 Wilmington Friends Saturday, Nov. 6.
