Children’s Beach House hosts drive-through Santa’s Workshop

Due to breakthrough COVID infections and the emergence of the Omicron variant, Children’s Beach House was forced to cancel a weekend of holiday events Dec. 3-5. 

The nonprofit on Lewes Beach had planned the Winter Wonder Holiday Celebration Dec. 3, a pair of Santa’s Workshop events Dec. 4, and a Holiday Happy Hour with the Boy Band Project Dec. 5. Each event was designed to raise money for Children’s Beach House, which helps children with special needs reach their highest potential as functioning members of their families and communities.

Despite the cancellations, G. Fedale Roofing & Siding stepped up to the plate. The local company rallied to set up Santa’s Drive Thru at CBH Dec. 4, recruiting Santa himself to personally give each child who attended a special gift, and a bag of crafts and cookies. Santa collected several Christmas lists in return. 

To continue its fundraising, Children’s Beach House will host a virtual silent auction from Wednesday, Dec. 8 through Tuesday, Dec. 14. Text “CBH” to 76278 or go to www.cbh.givesmart.com to learn more.
