Brimming Horn Meadery debuts new food truck

December 16, 2021

Brimming Horn Meadery has added its brand-new, heavy-metal Viking food truck Hammer and Horns to the meadery grounds at 28615 Lewes-Georgetown Highway near Milton.

Thanks to being approved for Delaware’s Small Business Edge Grant, meadery owners Jon Talkington and JR Walker were able to buy the food truck and join Delaware’s burgeoning food truck scene.

Hammer and Horns brings an exciting menu that will surely stand out from the crowd, featuring melted Raclette cheese sandwiches, baked potatoes stuffed with barbecue pulled pork and chicken, an array of burgers and fries, specialty handmade sausages from Slate Belt Butchers in Allentown, Pa., and everyone’s Renaissance faire favorite, fried turkey legs. Old World Breads in Lewes supplies the truck with all its buns and baguettes.

Hammer and Horns will be located at Brimming Horn every Thursday to Sunday. Food will be available to eat on site or to go.

Starting in 2022, Hammer and Horns will be looking for some fun spots to share its food throughout the week. Hammer and Horns can also be available for events, weddings and more. To learn more or inquire about booking, contact cook Doug McGirk at 302-664-1188 or hammerandhorns@gmail.com, or go to brimminghornmeadery.com.
