Zwaanendael Club thanks Warm Hearts Campaign supporters
The GFWC Zwaanendael Women's Club would like to thank the many members of the community, especially Micha Seto, owner of Blooming Boutique stores, who generously supported our recent Warm Hearts Campaign. The purpose of the campaign was to assist the needy and those experiencing homelessness in our area with a collection of new clothing, personal care items and cash donations.
Micha permitted us to place boxes for requested items and cash in all her stores: Blooming Boutique, Blooming Boutique Accessories, Lewes Gifts, Treasures, Lewes Wear and Just Lewes. Customers who contributed were rewarded with store coupons. Customer cash donations totaled over $1,800. Micha herself enthusiastically donated clothing, hats, scarves, gloves, socks and shoes valued more than $24,000.
Collected items and monies will be distributed through the Lighthouse for Broken Wings Sheltering Hearts program, which supports families in Sussex County, and the Cape Henlopen School District Homeless Liaison Office, which supports Cape students.
The public-spirited women of the Z Club strive to assist the disadvantaged members of our community. With this overwhelming support, we exceeded our goals for the Warm Hearts Campaign. Thank you, Micha Seto, and everyone else who contributed!
