Del Tech Owens Campus to offer travel and culture trips in March

Delaware Tech Owens Campus is offering several different trips throughout March, with events that should appeal to a variety of consumers.

Philadelphia Flower Show - This year’s theme is Islands of Aloha.”There will be how-to demos, vendors, exhibits and more. The event is Tuesday, March 6. The bus departs Delaware Tech at 8 a.m. and departs Philadelphia at 4 p.m.

“La Cage” at the DuPont Theatre - Three-time Tony Award winning play of a hilarious tale of what happens when a flashy nightclub owner invites his conservative family to St. Tropez. The play will be held Wednesday, March 7. The bus departs Delaware Tech at 9:30 a.m. and departs Wilmington at 4:30 p.m.

“The Addams Family” at the Hippodrome - The weird and wonderful family created by The New Yorker cartoonist Charles Addams comes devilishly and delightfully to life in this Broadway musical. The trip takes place Saturday, March 10. The bus departs Delaware Tech at 9:30 a.m. and departs Wilmington at 4:30 p.m.

The Harlem Globetrotters at the University of Delaware Bob Carpenter Center - The event takes place Tuesday, March 13. The bus departs Delaware Tech at 3:30 p.m. and departs  Newark at 9 p.m.

St. Paddy’s Progressive Lunch - Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in grand style as three restaurants roll out the green carpet for the afternoon. Be sure to wear green! The event takes place Friday, March 16. The bus departs Delaware Tech at 11 a.m. and returns at approximately 4:30 p.m.

"Lord of the Dance" at the DuPont Theatre - Based on Irish folklore, this classic tale of good vs. evil features precision dancing, state-of-the-art lighting and pyrotechnics. The event takes place Wednesday, March 21. The bus departs Delaware Tech at 9:30 a.m. and departs Wilmington at 4:30 p.m.

A Day in New York for shopping or taking in a show is set for Wednesday, March 21. The bus departs Delaware Tech at 6:30 a.m. and departs New York City at 6:30 p.m.

“Jonah” at the Sight & Sound Theatre - This new production features spectacular underwater effects and intertwines powerful themes of love, mercy, obedience and second chances. Also includes lunch at Hersey Farm Restaurant. The event takes place Thursday, March 29. The bus departs Delaware Tech at 8 a.m. and departs the theater at 4 p.m.

Inner Harbor - A fun day to sightsee, shop, visit the aquarium, science center or port. Tickets for the aquarium should be prepurchased online once the trip has been confirmed. This trip takes place Saturday, March 31. The bus departs Delaware Tech at 8 a.m. and departs Baltimore at 4 p.m.
