Bead embroidery earrings sessions set March 28, 30
Rehoboth Art League will offer a bead embroidery earrings class from 12 to 3 p.m., Monday, March 28, and Wednesday, March 30.
Bead embroidery is the process of stitching beads to fabric or other foundation material to embellish the surface. Instructor Donna Baratta will provide the foundational knowledge for creating a custom pair of bead embroidered earrings. Participants will learn the stitches necessary to create a peyote bezel and edging. Material and tool selection will be discussed. Bead embroidery is relaxing and easy to learn. It can be done by anyone who is familiar with a hand needle and thread. The instructor will provide needles, thread, seed beads, foundation, backing and cabochons. Participants can choose either fishhook or clip-on earring findings. In addition to the registration fee of $85 per person, there is a $40 materials fee to be paid to the instructor.
