This weekend, April 29 to May 1, will see the final performances of “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder” presented by Possum Point Players. This comedy was the Tony Award winner for Best Musical in 2014 and the most-nominated show of the season for Tonys, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards.

Tickets are $27 for adults, and $25 for seniors and students. They can be purchased at possumpointplayers.org or by calling the ticketline, 302-856-4560. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m., and the Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m. Possum Hall is located at 441Old Laurel Road, Georgetown.

"A Gentleman's Guide" provides lots of laughter as several unlikely ways of determining the demise of inconvenient relatives are demonstrated by a "gentleman" determined to scale the family tree. While happily dispensing with some who depart in most ludicrous and laughter-inducing ways, lovely and loving women dare to go out on even a legal limb to save the merry murderer and win his heart.

"A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder" is appropriate for all audiences. A cast of more than a dozen talented local actors/singers/dancers, a full pit band and a bustling backstage crew of set movers, costume swappers and make-up daubers keep the music and high humor moving.
