Optimist Club honors Detective Jeff Hudson

The Optimist Club of Sussex County recognized the dedication of Detective Jeff Hudson with its Respect for Law Award at its general meeting May 2.
A 20-year officer, Hudson served as a state trooper for seven years before being promoted to detective. Hudson served 12 of his years as a detective as a school resource officer in the Indian River School District. Hudson is a graduate of Sussex Central High School.
In 2021, Hudson was appointed director of Camp Barnes in Frankford to help the camp develop initiatives and leadership programs for Delaware youth.
Hudson and his wife Jessica have three children: Lucas, Allisa and Tyler.
