Old Sussex County Courthouse historical program set Aug. 20

The Georgetown Historical Society will present a program by Carol Pollio, formerly of the National Park Service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Old Sussex County Courthouse, 15 South Bedford St., 100 feet off The Circle in Georgetown.

Pollio will speak to attendees about the history of the 1792 building and surrounding grounds.

There is plenty of free parking for visitors and no charge for admission.

Pollio has presented programs on the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk, the Salem witch trials, the New River Gorge and other National Park Service locations.
