Jazz artist JJ Sansaverino to play The Room at Cedar Grove Oct. 14

October 10, 2022

Jazz guitarist and Billboard-charting artist JJ Sansaverino will perform at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14, at The Room at Cedar Grove near Lewes.

The show includes a multi-course wine-pairing dinner with proceeds to benefit Paul Kares, a nonprofit supporting young musicians and aspiring culinary professionals.

“JJ has been described as Benson meets Santana, and guests are in for a night of smooth jazz, R&B and reggae,” said chef-musician Paul Cullen, who co-founded Paul Kares with James Rivette. “He’s super talented and the perfect artist to showcase during the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival.”

A Berklee School of Music graduate, Sansaverino has shared the stage with Maceo Parker, Victor Bailey, Gerald Albright, Randy Brecker, Shaggy, Ricky Lawson, Sean Paul, Rick Braun and the Marley Family.

“He even performed at Sir Paul McCartney’s wedding,” said Cullen. “He’s an amazing talent.”

Cullen is a chef, sommelier and musician who fell in love with wine and food while touring with the rock band Bad Company. He is known for offering in-home dining experiences with a menu inspired by his Italian ancestry. He also imports Italian gourmet items and started a wine company featuring Italian imports.

Tickets for the Oct. 14 concert are $85 each, including the show and dinner. Tickets do not include gratuity and are nonrefundable.
