Grotto Pizza donates $12K to breast cancer coalition
Grotto Pizza recently presented a check for $12,474 to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
The Rehoboth Beach-based restaurant group raised funds during National Pizza Month in October. When customers purchased certain specialty pizzas and beverages, Grotto earmarked $2 for the DBBC, a nonprofit that advocates for breast health awareness, and helps those with low incomes and those with little or no insurance receive free or reduced-cost care.
“Most of us have a friend or family member who’s been diagnosed with breast cancer,” said Jeff Gosnear, Grotto Pizza vice president. “Early detection and treatment are essential, and we fully support the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition’s mission to turn breast cancer patients into survivors.”
