Do More 24 Delaware nonprofit giving day set March 2-3

February 23, 2023

Do More 24 Delaware, the state’s premier 24-hour charitable giving event, will be held from 6 p.m., Thursday, March 2 to 6 p.m., Friday, March 3.

Organized jointly by United Way of Delaware and Spur Impact, the 24-hour fundraising marathon invites the public to support their favorite Delaware nonprofits by donating through their individual giving pages on DoMore24Delaware.org. During this time, nonprofits have the opportunity to earn more than $625,000 in cash prizes and other grants donated by more than 25 sponsor organizations from across the state.

During each hour of Do More 24 Delaware, each of the 500 nonprofits raising money will have the chance to win additional cash prizes based on various fundraising metrics, and all nonprofits that raise money will share in one of the event's stretch pools.

Charlie Vincent, executive director of Spur Impact Association, said, “The culture of philanthropy in Delaware and the Delaware nonprofit sector depends on the generosity of many individual donors. We are proud that so many Delaware nonprofits participate, and activate their donors and supporters – particularly younger board members and donors – around this great event. Our goal for 2023 is to get even more Delawareans to support and donate to their favorite nonprofits as part of this year's giving day.”

During the event, donors will be able to track the progress of their favorite nonprofits through interactive leaderboards, donation maps and a 24-hour livestream on DoMore24Delaware.org. The livestream will feature interviews, updates, and stories from many of the participating nonprofits and sponsors. To further boost engagement and support for Delaware’s nonprofits, donors are invited to post using the #DoMore24DE hashtag on all major social media platforms.
