Barbara Curtis is competent, selfless leader

May 5, 2023

We are writing to express our enthusiastic support for Barbara Curtis for the Lewes Board of Public Works. As longtime homeowners of this amazing community, we are deeply invested in its continued governance and success, and believe that Barbara is the ideal candidate to help achieve the challenges and goals of the BPW.

Barbara brings a wealth of environmental science experience to the position, having completed a successful corporate career in various applied environmental management roles and, more recently, in Lewes public service roles through her work on the mitigation team for the BPW and the environment team for the planning commission. She has demonstrated a deep commitment to researching, benchmarking best practices and collaborating to achieve successful, sustainable, cost-effective outcomes for Lewes.

With Barbara’s addition, the board will gain a competent and selfless leader. Barbara would also bring added diversity, and a desirable environmental science perspective to the board. We encourage our fellow community members to vote for Barbara Curtis in the upcoming Saturday, May 13 election. Thank you.
