Montessori schools open for enrollment
Lewes Montessori School and Rehoboth Beach Montessori School are holding an open registration period for the 2023-24 school year and also for year-round enrollments. Current spaces are for children ages 1-6. This includes the Nido class (Italian for “nest”) for ages 1 and 2, the primary class for ages 3 and 4, and the kindergarten class for ages 5 and 6.
With the number of classrooms recently expanded, the good news is that there are openings at this time. Conveniently, several enrollment options are available for children in both full-time and part-time programs.
Focused on child-centered education, LMS and RBMS are dedicated to offering a stimulating learning environment consistent with the proven methods and principles developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in Rome, Italy, more than 100 years ago. There are now more than 8,000 Montessori schools worldwide.
In addition to providing the international Montessori curriculum, specific highlights at LMS and RBMS are nature education, art, music, world languages including Spanish and French, and movement including yoga, sports and dance. Practicing grace and courtesy is an important component of the curriculum. Promoting children’s individual skills, creativity and a love of learning, the programs at LMS and RBMS set the foundation for embracing a lifetime of education. The teachers and staff bring many years of education and experience, and are great role models for young children.
