Following the annual parade through the downtown streets, Lewes Little League kicked off its season April 21 with an opening-day ceremony at the ballpark off Pilottown Road.
This season is being dedicated to past president and longtime volunteer Gilbert Holt Sr., who recently passed away.
Members of the Holt family attended the ceremony, and his son, Gilbert Holt Jr., and daughter, Gloria Holt, threw out the first pitches. The league presented each family member with a plaque.
