Highlighted by a costume parade on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, the annual Greyhounds Reach the Beach returned to the Cape Region for five days Oct. 5-9.

Greyhounds Reach the Beach is an annual charity event celebrating retired racing greyhounds, while creating awareness of the need for adoptive and foster homes. The event supports designated 501(c)(3) greyhound and sighthound adoption groups by donating net proceeds to them.

Started in 1995, Greyhounds Reach the Beach has been held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center since 2019; prior to that, it was held in Dewey Beach.
