Mary Jean Livesey, loved traveling, cruises
Mary Jean Livesey, 89, of Lewes passed away peacefully at home Friday, Nov. 17, 2023. Mary was born May 9, 1934, in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Howard Morgan and Florence (March) Morgan.
Mary moved to Lewes 31 years ago with her husband Thomas. Mary and Thomas loved family (children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren). Mary and Thomas loved traveling to Ireland and taking cruises. Mary also enjoyed trips to the casino and relaxing at the beach.
Mrs. Livesey is survived by her three sons: William P. and his wife Denise of The Villages, Fla., Thomas C. Jr. of Millsboro, and John J. of Lewes; her four grandchildren: William T. Livesey and his wife Kathleen, Kellie McAteer, Stacey DiEmidio and her husband Thomas, and Nicole Woods and her husband Nathaniel; and five great-grandchildren. Mary is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Thomas C. Livesey; her daughter Susan McAteer of The Villages and her husband John; and brother Robert and his wife Jane.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
